Our privacy promise
Discretion is part of our service. We collect only what is reasonably necessary, restrict access on a need-to-know basis, and do not publicise a guest’s identity, itinerary, images or relationship with Luxora without explicit permission. A guest may mention Luxora publicly; that does not give Luxora permission to identify or feature the guest.
Information we may collect
Identity and contact details; nationality and passport/visa information where needed; travel dates and preferences; accommodation, dining and mobility needs; payment and transaction records; emergency contacts; communications; website and device information; and consent records.
Health, dietary, accessibility, religious or other sensitive preferences are collected only when relevant to safety or service delivery and with an appropriate lawful basis. Children’s information is processed only with a competent person’s authority or another lawful ground.
Why we process information
To prepare quotations and itineraries; confirm and manage bookings; deliver concierge and safety support; communicate changes; meet legal, accounting and security duties; protect guests and Luxora; resolve complaints; and, where permitted, send relevant marketing.
Lawful basis and choice
Processing is based on consent, steps requested before contracting, performance of a contract, legal obligations, or Luxora’s legitimate interests where these do not override the data subject’s rights. Optional preference information may be withheld, although this can limit personalisation. Marketing consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Sharing and international transfers
We share the minimum necessary information with carefully selected accommodation, transport, aviation, activity, dining, security, payment, technology and professional-service providers. Some providers may be outside South Africa. Luxora will use reasonable contractual and organisational safeguards and will not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Records are kept only for as long as reasonably required for service delivery, legal, tax, insurance, dispute and legitimate business purposes, then securely deleted or anonymised. Luxora uses access controls, strong authentication, secure sharing, device safeguards, backups, staff confidentiality and supplier checks proportionate to risk. No system is completely risk-free.
Your rights
Subject to law, a person may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection; withdraw consent; challenge direct marketing; and complain to Luxora or the Information Regulator. Identity may be verified before actioning a request.
